Epiphanies, Part 1

There are things I love. One of them is Freedom.

So the new epiphany is determining how to obtain freedom from ...
worry
stress
woes
negativity.

First step is working on my new career in finance.
Yeah, I know my financial house is a house of cards. I am working to rectify so many errors, I will keep working and figure out where to go from here.

One day at a time.

Braking out of my bad habits

1. I walked on the dang Treadmill for 25 min went about 1.25 miles. It has been MONTHS since I put the booty through its paces.
2. I reduced cable tv by 1/2 today.
3. Now I just need to find another 400. to make ends meet next month.
4. As for other money, I need 550 for school supplies.
5. Also, I need 800 to cover my cat's surgery and to get my other cat into the vet.
Yikes that is 1750.

So the main priority is the 400.
then the cats
then the school supplies.
I think i can get the book which is 23.09.

Working it all it has been tough and kinda cool.

Stuff I want to sell to get there.

Thy Kingdom Come

So the Mustard Seed is becoming a new and important lesson in the Kingdom of God.

Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds.“The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seedthat a person took and sowed in a field.It is the smallest of all the seeds,yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants.It becomes a large bush,and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.”
Matthew 13: 31-32 (see also Luke 13:18-19)

This reminds me of lyrics of the song by Newsong called "Sheltering Trees":

We all need sheltering trees,

friends in our lives who get down on their knees,

lift us up before the King of Kings,

we all need sheltering trees.

Some one likened the mustard seed plant to the sheltering tree. Isn't that what God's kingdom is all about? Building the kingdom of God on earth in preparation for entering God's kingdom in Heaven. Not that we need to earn our way, just so we know how to act once we get there because face it many of us don't know what it means to serve, worship and praise God as we ought to.

Out of Darkness Into His Marvelous Light

You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

When I think about this passage, I can accept that the Lord is truely an awesome GOD. Whether you believe it or not, it is true that you have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light, that is why you should be singing his praises.

Tonight at ARK, our young adult group, we watched "The Mission," with Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons. God's light shines on the good and the bad. Does he call us to be martyrs who do or don't fight back?
